Teambuilding Scotland Programmes & Courses Water theme - Isle of Cumbrae
Using the venue of the Scottish National Watersports Centre or Largs Marina for this exceptional team programme

This team development programme is carried out in collaboration with the Scottish National Watersports Centre, Isle of Cumbrae and run from either their centre or one of a number of great venues on the main land. It is suited to groups who would like to try something completely different. The programme has a nautical theme however there are a also a number of land based projects incorporated.
Physically this programme is suitable for the majority of groups. Specific exercises vary to suit the time of year. A real highlight included throughout the year (weather permitting) is the planning and execution of an evening circumnavigation of Isle of Cumbrae or an expedition trip to Bute.
As with all our programmes, it offers a mixture of practical team development, theory against which to position the team and specific sessions to cover business issues and integrate with the day to day work activities of the team.
Typical objectives

Team development experiential exercises can include:
- Exercises to apply different team roles and the involvement of others
- Complex problem solving tasks requiring both strategy and planning
- Communication exercises carrying out a complex scenario and with multiple teams
- Planning and execution of night navigation exercise with multiple facets (supported by qualified coaches)
- Team challenge
Integration with work:
- Establishing commonality of goal / vision
- Enactment of inter member support

- Business related issues facilitated as required

Cumbrae Challenge
Residential programmes culminate in the 'Cumbrae Challenge'. With a tank of fuel per boat, one hour of time and a set of predetermined rules, the team is challenge to maximise the number of points it can make by venturing to navigational buoys in the Firth of Clyde.
